The lotus flower, by definition, a type of water lily that is held sacred among many of the world’s religions and cultures. With its beginning rooted in the mud it continually grows upward through murky waters toward the light when it reaches a point of antithesis and blooms into a pure, beautiful flower.
In many cultures the lotus flower has become the symbol of rebirth, the
awakening to the spirituality of life and symbol of freedom from chaos and illusion.
